In spite of me saying that it's difficult to paint an accurate picture of fresh produce due to fluctuating prices depending on whether they are in season, I still wrote up a price list for them. Here, I'm comparing them between an Asian supermarket we frequent versus Coles. We hardly ever go to Woolies as Coles is cheaper. If something is near expiry, it is usually sold at 5-10% of it's original price compared to 80% in Woolies. There was a few times we got ham steaks for $0.50 when they are originally $10 per pack. Call me cheapo but hey, they're still edible. Prices in red are on specials.
